The garden beds are ready to be turned for Spring planting and are filled with organic matter, including: seaweed, rabbit compost, collected mulch of leaves and soil. It’s become Dense with nutrients that only need to be watered. This surely heralds an amazing season of fruits, vegetables, and beautiful flowers ahead.
Here is some info about the material we collect and why we use it in our garden beds as fertilizer!!!
Seaweed – Has 60 trace minerals and ready-to-use nutrients including nitrogen, potassium, phosphate, and magnesium; it also contains hormones that encourage plant growth. And unlike other garden amendments such as manure, seaweed does not need to decompose before being of benefit to your garden.
Bunny Berries – Rabbit manure is dry, odourless, and comes in pellet form, which means it is suitable for direct use in the garden. It can be applied any time of the year and helps give your plants a boost during the growing season, and can also serve as a storehouse of nutrients when applied in the late fall and winter.
Well, this is the end of the gardening lesson… I will be sharing our results throughout the growing season, so stay tuned for more info, tips and inspiration!
Happy Gardening Season! xoxo
Senses That Sin is a multidisciplinary art installation which includes three art dolls, two rabbits, one live doll, one accordion player, and a live performance!
In the live performance, you will experience Indigo coming alive for the first time, as she grows more and more enchanted by her senses as they are each awakened one by one by Del Rivera. Will her fellow art dolls Lilac Rose and Ms. Boutika watch in amazement as they hope that their time shall also come when they will be woken up!?! To watch the live performance please click on the video, and on the link to the page on my website to learn more about the performers Namchi Bazar and Del Riviera.
I took my inspiration for this exotic/erotic experience from flowers and their lush surroundings and their ability to tickle our senses when we allow ourselves to fully enjoy their offerings.
In the next few blog posts, I will be introducing you to each doll in the installation and share my process in their creation, but for now enjoy the performance!!! xoxo

Billie is my senior German Short Hair Pointer who is turning 16 this week. I rescued her from a bad situation when she was 3 years old and she has been my faithful companion ever since. Morning is her favourite time! We make the rounds together to let the chickens out of their coop and feed the rabbits. Then we play the food game and go for a stroll to the lake; when we get back inside, it’s time for the rest of the household to wake up. For Billie and I, mornings are our special time and we cherish them.
The time has come to go off island and play for a week. Learning new techniques at an exciting workshop facilitated by Kate Church at The Blue Moon Winery. That’s right! I am off to play with these 2 pretties – my first ever stuffed animals and art dolls. I look forward to sharing the progress of the workshop as well as some pics from various sites around the Comox Valley.
