The Other-Side presents That Wall

My new art installation involves many mixed media. One element is my interpretation of Graffiti Art inspired by the West side of the Berlin Wall. Here is a Sneak Peek at one of the 13 panels I created on recycled dresser drawers. I used spray paint, collage, acrylic and found items. Look out for info on two upcoming solo art shows this summer.


Meet Laurisa

Laurisa is the first art doll to occupy The Other-Side of That Wall.My new art installation which is 2 sided and well be shown in 2016.There are 13 panels to That Wall all recycled from old dresser drawers.She still needs a tuck here and a tuck there ,she stands 16 inch’s and is 6 inch’s wide ,hand made with polymer clay , parts of her wardrobe are naturally dyed or recycled from old items.That Wall has many mediums to it including a sound track. I well be posting often keeping you up to date with the building of an art installation ┬ácalled “That Wall”IMG_1164.

The Ghosts of Artrosshes (see in one colour) is a typography series painted on vinyl siding.The series has 21 paintings done in a mixed media using acrylic,watercolour,spray paint and collage with recycled materials.It’s very stormy summer day here on Cortes Island and my mission is to complete these 3.The series is growing and on it’s way to be complete.On the page you can see some of paintings in different stages.This is my first attempt at typography art.You well be able to view the collection at an up coming summer festival to be announced later this summer.

I have been working on a new series called The Ghosts of Artrosshes (see in one colour) .This is my first attempt of typography art (the art of using LETTERS ) and the whole series is on recycled vinyl siding. This is the begin of a new series.My intention is to represent The Ghosts of Artrosshes that only see in one colour.This is my first attempt at typograghy art continuing my path as a visual artist using recycled vinyal siding as my canvas, some lite and some dark.Here i used gold leaf,acycrlic paint,and sand from cortes island.To see more of the series please visit the page The Ghosts of Artrosshes on my website.
