As a yarn maker we go throw many steps before the wool is ready to be used!!!
I started with raw fibre I source out as local as possible, wash and dry, then I use my drum carder to create batts to begin the spinning process, create a skein and then wash again. Once the skein is dry I use my trusted ball winder to create a ball of wool to knit from or sell. You really get to visualize the Twisted yarn when you do this and check out the work you created. Here is three stages of my new art wool “Tiger Lily” hand dyed, hand spun, during the ball making process and ready to put on my table for the summer markets or create a funky scarf, bag or hat for example.
You we’ll be able to find my wool for sale at The a Gorge Harbour ever Saturday from 10-1pm starting the last Saturday in June and can purchase privately by contacting me via email or leave a comment. BalducciArt wool is irregular inconstance, novelty hand spun wool and is unique one of a kind, created with love.

I have become very fond of working in the medium of textile art as of late, and I plan on continuing to explore and create in this medium. I am loving the process of naturally dyeing cloth and wool, and then knitting with the fruits of my labour. I plan on spending the next few months experimenting with this process. At the moment, I am busy creating bandanas and wrist art, which you can view on the web page I have dedicated to it (here) an in my Etsy store, linked below! I have been having so much fun working on my store and I keep adding new items all the time, as this is my focus for Spring and Summer as I hope to be crafting many new items to share and sell. Of course, my plans also include gardening, skool (and yes, I do mean to spell it like this!) and as much beach time as possible. In the last few years, my focus has been art installations with their many deadlines and logistics. I am happy to take a step back from these pressures and have fun living in a more fluid way. After this hiatus, I do plan on creating a new art installation – which will include some new techniques – to share something very fresh in 2018. Stay tuned and check out my Etsy store. I wish everyone a wonderful Spring!!! xoxo

You may recall back in January when everyone was talking about resolutions, I spoke of some Goals I wanted to accomplish in 2017.
Well, I am happy to report one of my goals is alive and realized !!! It’s such a good feeling to have materialized this goal so soon in the year and it’s been so much fun creating and building my new Etsy store. At the moment, it features my wearable art such as my Bandanas and Wrist Art pieces. New items will often be added and soon my art dolls will also come grace my virtual store!
