Elenor from The Stuffy Collection has found her forever home in Vernon B.C. I believe she is going to be treasured for many years to come and this warms my heart. Her new human is named Frankie – a young lady who is having fun embarking on her newfound love of art collecting.
The Stuffy Collection was an art challenge I gave myself in 2014, which consisted of taking a photo, creating a portrait inspired by it, and write a short story for each of my stuffed animal in my collection. Here is Elenor’s story from the book I made from this project, My Stuffies’ Secret Life.
Elenor is always looking deeper than the surface, reading between the lines and connecting with the space between things…”There is always more than meets the eye” in Elenor’s world!
The Stuffy Collection just keeps on moving!!!
Mr. ILoveH2O has found his forever home in Victoria, BC! Now this makes me so happy because Mr.ILoveH2O was the very first stuffy I documented for the collection back in 2014. By now, the Stuffy Collection has gotten around and travelled around the Salish Sea and there are 27 left for adoption out of this unique yearlong 52-week art challenge I set out for myself. And quite a challenge it was! Spending a year doing one photo shoot with a different stuffy each week for inspiration and then creating one portrait a week and writing a short story for each of them was as much fun as it was a lot of work! But very rewarding nonetheless and it continues to be so. Mr. ILoveH2O has a great message to share considering the situation going on in the world and especially in the US and in Canada. Here is his story:
Mr.ILoveH2O knows that water is the most important thing on earth.”Without it nothing would survive!” he is fond of saying. And then he invariably adds: “It takes 460 gallons of water to grow on pound of chicken and 31 gallons of water for a single pound of potatoes!” Mr.ILoveH2O would like you to think about water every day.
Thank You for your ongoing support it means a lot to me and encourages me to keep creating. xoxo Laura
